Kamille Harris received a scholarship in 2011 upon graduation from Cleveland Heights High. She is passionate about applying her knowledge about the law to help others.

Current positions: Claims Processor for Automobile Insurance Plan Service Center (AISPO). Board member of the Officer Jason D. West Memorial Fund.

Education: Heights High School, 2011, recipient of the Jason West Scholarship. Wright State University, 2015, BA, crime and justice studies. St. Mary’s University, 2017, MA in education. In the fall of 2022, she will attend the CWRU school of law.

Favorite things about your job? I like the community of people and applying my knowledge of the law to make sure that our clients’ insurance policies are in compliance with the state laws.

What would you say to current high school juniors and seniors who are considering a career in criminal justice? Be willing to try it and stay in the field to learn about all of the options available. Don’t give up. Keep searching because there is probably an area that you will like. Learn and branch out, and be open to the possibilities.

What are your career goals? After I graduate from law school, I’d like to work in the field of corporate law, focusing on contracts, policy and procedures. It helps to be detail oriented in that area, and I am! Plus, it is really interesting to me.

What did it mean to receive a scholarship from the Officer Jason D. West Scholarship? It was a big help for me, it paid for my books during those first two years. Also, it lifted my spirits because I felt that the community was behind me.
