Inspiring Youth to Serve
The goals of the Officer Jason D. West Memorial Fund are to partner with the community, city and the police department to encourage young people to enter the criminal justice field, strengthen the relationship between young people and the police and to honor the life of Officer Jason West.
About the Officer Jason D. West Memorial Fund
On May 26, 2007, Officer Jason D. West, a member of the Cleveland Heights Police Department, lost his life while responding to a disturbance call. A fund has been set up as a way of honoring Officer West’s memory.
APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
If you are a cadet currently enrolled in the Cleveland Heights Police Academy, you may qualify for a scholarship to help with re-imbursement of tuition costs.
DONATE TO THE FUND
We rely on donations and fundraising events to support our scholarship recipients. All donations are tax-exempt and go directly to a qualified cadet upon graduation from the Cleveland Heights Police Academy.
